DRT 2027 | Leeds

Welcome to the XXV DRT meeting

Whoodhouse Groove School campus

The DRT Conference is a biennial international meeting with more than 50 years of tradition, bringing together researchers working on rock rheology, structural geology, tectonics, microstructures, rock physics, and deformation-related metamorphic and diagenetic processes.

The XXV DRT Meeting will take place from 12–16 April 2027 at Woodhouse Grove School, Leeds, United Kingdom, hosted by the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Leeds. The conference will explore deformation processes from the microscale to the lithosphere through keynote lectures and thematic sessions on experimental rock deformation, energy transition geoscience, high-grade metamorphism, tectonic modelling, ore geology, and active faulting and InSAR applications.

Alongside an exciting scientific programme, DRT 2027 will offer mentoring activities, social events and field excursions,  designed to strengthen connections across the DRT community.

We look forward to welcoming you to Leeds in 2027!
